Mise en place
Smartmat, a leading Belgian meal-kit provider, is getting ready for a new future and needed a website that matched their renewed ambition to offer their kits in à la carte fashion. A fresh design prepared from more personal content and a series of custom illustrations makes for the perfect recipe. To meet their content management system demands, we served Sitefinity, as it offers modern, hassle-free content management for newbie and specialist users alike.
Made to order
Two new, industry-unique ordering flows deliver for all types of customers. A first one focuses on individual meals as the main story driver and prominently features the actual menu on the homepage. Users that are not as ready to decide right away, can take a more scenic route with contextual, practical information and brand messages spicing up the journey. Both fast food consumers and slow cookers can find their preferred flavors with ease.
New to the sector is the flexibility the kits, and thus the interface, provides. Customers cannot be forced into pre-made boxes but desire freedom of choice. Want to include a single veggie meal in your family's menu for instance? No problem. The new set-up features an elaborate user space, where people have the opportunity to personalize the service even further, even after ordering. Or, for instance, temporarily change the drop-off address if the need arises. No small feat from a data management point of view it must be said.
